About Me

My photo

I'm a textile fanatic.  If it has to do with fiber, it's for me.  I love my almost fourteen year old son, cats and sheep.  I love historical costuming and most days you'll find me researching or reproducing clothing from any one of many time periods that have caught my fancy.

No Snow News Is Good News, Part 2

Well, they just announced another change in the weekend forecast.  Now they are predicting that we'll probably have snow, but they aren't committing themselves to it or even guessing how much to expect besides considerable.  Is there a standard understanding of what qualifies as considerable?  Oh well, I'll shovel that snow when it comes.

Now for the good stuff.  Here are the photos so far:

Pocket slit with edges turned and whipped down,
gusset stitched in place, interior view

Interior pocket, pieced  and slit finished

Interior pocket installed with back-stitch
 and turned and whipped hem
Interior pocket, pleated to fit and form gusset
Interior pocket installed,  showing pleating

So, it's looking pretty good so far.  I can't seem to get the last three photos to load, so I'll have to post them separately.

Ta ta for now.
